George Newton Race Prep

Do you need your body or chassis repaired?  Did you get just a little too close to another competitor at your last race meeting?  If so, then George Newton Race Prep may be just what you are looking for?

George has been competing as well as building race cars for 30+ years now (although you wouldn't know to look at him!).  These disciplines include drag racing, sprinting, hill climbing and circuit racing.  He currently has prepared the Fiestas of Jason Watkins, Les Beer and Chris Farr as well as the Vauxhall Nova of Graham Richardson in the Track and Race Car Series.

His skills have also been utilised in the preparation of a variety of single seaters over the years including the Reynards, the Vauxhall-Lotus and the Formula Ireland of Alan Everitt who has been competing in Monoposto for a number of seasons very successfully.  Also, currently he is rebuilding a YB Cosworth powered SF79 for Les Beer.

In the past he has prepared various Clubman's cars with great success for their owners.

George's specialisations are:

  • Body and chassis repairs including spraying and welding,
  • Suspension setting up of both single seaters and saloons.

George will also undertake the building of kit cars with recent examples being a Vauxhall engined Westfield, a Crossflow engined Westfield and a Pinto engined Locost.

His knowledge of race cars and the correct way of preparing them to ensure reliability (and safety) is second to none.  You can be guaranteed quality workmanship at a fair price.

George also deals with the buying and selling of second hand race cars and the supply of good quality previously owned race tyres.
