This brand new luxurious 3 bedroom apartment on a quiet complex close to Puerto de la Duquesa with its beautiful marina.  With 2 swimming pools and the Mediterranean within walking distance, coupled with the Duquesa golf course between the two it is the ideal location for that family golfing or beach holiday; and with 300 days of sunshine a year, what better place to go at any time of the year.  The apartment is on the ground floor with a large, partly paved garden, which is fully enclosed, as is the entire complex, making it safe for children.  In fact it is more of a home from home rather than a holiday rental (the intention is that we will live here in the future) and is therefore very well equipped, especially the kitchen.

Kitchen

If you don’t feel like spending time in the kitchen, there are many good restaurants within walking distance (in Castillo de la Duquesa or Puerto de la Duquesa) and an even greater number a short drive away. There are also plenty of local taxis for those who don’t feel like walking back after a good meal.  Suitable for holidays all year round, the apartment has air conditioning (hot and cold), TV and DVD player (for those very rare days when it isn’t sunny).

Duquesa is about half way between Marbella and Gibraltar and makes an ideal base for exploring southern Spain. The local beaches are quiet and not overcrowded even in the height of the season, don’t forget your suntan lotion, and there are various fiestas and events which take place in the area throughout the year.  The fishing village of Sabinillas is just down the road, with its lovely Paseo, bars and the usual everyday shops and supermarkets. There is also a large Carrefour Hipermarket in Estepona, just a ten minute drive away.  The hilltop village of Casares is close by and Ronda is a lovely day trip. 

Puerto de la Duquesa

With miles of beautiful beaches and over 40 golf courses, including some of championship standard, on the Costa del Sol alone, (it is often called the Costa del Golf) there is plenty to keep everyone occupied.  Other attractions include Gibraltar, where you can go on the "Rock Tour",  Tarifa (with high speed links to Tangiers for a day trip), Aquaparks, Tivoli Theme Park, Marine Centres, Wildlife Parks and many Boat Trips (such as Dolphin Safaris) you should never be at a loss for something to do.  If you enjoy shopping then head straight for the designer stores of Puerto Banus and Marbella where you will find all your favourite designers as well as some interesting local stores.  You will also find the "US Style" shopping mall known as La Caňada (on the outskirts of Marbella next to the Motorway), where you will find a range of both UK and Spanish stores, plus a Cinema Complex and Ten Pin Bowling.

The apartment is easily accessible from Gibraltar and Malaga airports, and whilst there are buses that run along the coast road, or you could take a taxi, we would recommend that you hire a car so that you can make the most of your stay.  There are reasonably priced car hire outlets at both Malaga and Gibraltar airports (for Gib its best to walk across the border (5 minutes) and hire a car from La Linea (Auriga Crown and Easy Car both offer this option) as it saves queuing to get out of Gib in High Season.
